About a month and a half ago we were contacted by Ricci and Katie. They said that two of their very best friends got married over a year ago after a five year engagement but never had engagement pictures taken. Since both of their birthdays are in the summer, Ricci and Katie wanted to have professional pictures taken of them for a birthday present! The present was a surprise and we only communicated with Ricci until we met for the photo shoot! Ricci’s request: an outdoor setting, where they could bring their dog, somewhere near Short Pump. We decided on Lower Byrd Farm in Goochland. We contacted the very nice owners, Paul and Sue Anne who were more than accommodating for us!

Yup, that’s right… they brought Champagne and the flutes from their wedding! LOVE IT!
Ricci and Katie came along for the shoot and we really enjoyed having them there. Not only were they able to make Joe and Jessica laugh and feel comfortable but they were incredibly supportive!
